New Joint Venture “Solar for Schools” launched in UK
Engynious successfully launched a Joint Venture for the further market expansion in UK. The new JV reaches out to schools through social media networks and aims to raise awareness within the school segment, particularly among school governors and parents, for the advantages of Solar PV without incurring any capital costs. The JV partners, Internet entrepreneur Robert Schrimpff and the renewable projects developer Martin Augustin, handled the design of the new website www.solarforschools.co.uk which went live in March. Engynious Clean Power (UK) Ltd. will then take care of interested and registered schools under its well established „Engynious SEEd Solar for Schools Programme“. First schools have already registered.
Robert Schrimpff said, “We all react to social media campaigns and Solar for Schools is about reaching out to parents in thousands of schools, making them aware that their schools can join the solar revolution even if schools do not have the funds to buy solar panels. They can make a difference by securing a long-term supply of discounted solar power that will bring savings to schools now and in the future. Together we can all achieve more."
Gregor Loukidis, director of Engynious Clean Power, said, “Schools can take advantage of solar power without having any capital costs so they can better manage their energy costs, reduce their carbon emissions, and at the same time improve their teaching and learning to become leading centres of excellence for education.”
Promotion of the site started in April.
