Engynious completes two Photovoltaic plants for Siemens Austria

Engynious has successfully installed and commissioned two photovoltaic plants for Siemens Austria in the Spring of 2013.

Siemens Austria is actively working to create “greener buildings” at its locations. One important component thereof is the increased utilization of renewable energy.

With this target in mind, Siemens Austria has equipped the new clubhouse of its traditional Culture- and Sports Association in Vienna with a photovoltaic plant provided by Engynious.

The PV-plant contributes to increased energy efficiency of the new building, together with optimized building management. The electricity generated will be consumed directly on-site by the clubhouse. This way the Association is able to save about 12,000 kWh of energy per year, which has been sourced from the grid until now.

An additional PV-plant was installed on a 1,600 square meter warehouse roof of the Siemens Mobility factory in Graz.

Since June 2013 the PV-plant in Graz has been feeding electricity into the community grid. Inverter and equipment for grid connection of the PV-plant originate directly from Siemens; the planning, design and installation of the plant were performed by Engynious. With an installed capacity of more than 80 kWp this plant is expected to provide electricity for about 18 households and lowers carbon emissions by approximately 57 tons per year.
