Engynious Clean Power UK acquires two operating Solar PV systems on educational institutions in UK
Effective as of mid-January 2018, Engynious Clean Power UK has successfully completed the purchase of two Solar PV systems on educational institutions in the UK. The systems were acquired from Brighter Schools PLC and are installed at “The Brunts Academy Trust” in Nottinghamshire and at “St. James The Great Primary and Nursery School” in Surrey. Both operational since 2013 with a combined size of 77 kWp, were originally refinanced via Abundance Investment Ltd., a crowd-funding platform.
With this acquisition, Engynious Clean Power UK’s installed base of Solar PV systems grows to 52 sites with a total generating capacity of 2,894 kWp. All rights and obligations were transferred to ECP UK and include the ownership and operation of the respective Solar PV systems as well as the supply of electricity to the schools and the benefit from the feed in tariffs generated.
Engynious is interested in further acquisitions of rooftop Solar PV systems in its core markets Germany, UK and Switzerland.
